European Commission considers that there is no longer a clear risk of a serious breach of Rule of law in Poland

On Monday 6 May, the European Commission announced its intention to close the so-called ‘Article 7 TEU’ procedure on respect for the Rule of law in Poland, which was opened in December of 2017 (see EUROPE B11930A1).
